Why do results say "may apply"?

A campaign covers many cars of the same year, make and model, but inclusion depends on the individual car's VIN and build date. The official VIN check is the final word for one exact car.

What does a recall repair cost?

Nothing, for a safety recall. When a campaign applies to your car, the manufacturer must fix it free of charge at a dealer — parts and labor included.
